Kolkata, May 12 (IBNS): AMRI Mukundapur, the women and child care unit of AMRI Hospitals, recently observed Mother's Day by honouring some of the mothers who have faced 'struggles' with equanimity to raise their children here.

The occasion witnessed mothers from various backgrounds sharing their  poignant stories of trials and tribulations and how they battled against those to create favorable environment for the unimpeded progress of their children.

The mothers were felicitated in the presence of actress Rituparna Sengupta, fashion designer Agnimitra Paul, actress Locket Chaterjee, Aparajita Ghosh and mother-daughter duo Moubani and Jayashree Sorcar.

“This is one of the greatest day on earth. The thought behind this initiative is to boost the morale of the mothers who have confronted the toughest hurdles in their lives to gift their children better future. We felt inspired by the stories of ceaseless struggles of these mothers and wanted to honor them on a special day that felicitates motherhood,” said Rupak Barua, CEO, AMRI Hospitals Ltd.

Speaking on the occasion, Tollywood actor Rituparna Sengupta said: “ This is a very auspicious day, we have got some extraordinary mothers over here. Nothing can be compared to mother’s love; this is a very unconditional love. AMRI is like our family providing love and care to our lives."
