Bangladesh registers 25 more COVID-19 deaths in last 24 hrs

Dhaka/UNI: Twenty-five more people have died due to coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.

The death toll stood at 5,096. A total of 1,638 new patients have been identified. A total of 4 lakh 10 thousand 97 people have been identified.

Besides, 1,961 people have recovered in 24 hours and 3 lakh 26,901 people have recovered so far. This information has been informed in the press release of the health department today.

It was further informed that 12,065 samples have been collected and 12,791 samples have been tested in 113 laboratories in the last 24 hours. So far 23 lakh 71 thousand 602 samples have been tested.

The detection rate in 24 hours is 13.46 percent. The recovery rate is 69.6 percent and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent. It is to be noted that the first corona patient in Bangladesh was identified on March 6 and the first death due to corona was on March 16.
