Bhaderwah/Jammu: In a momentous declaration during the inauguration of the Lavender festival, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh hailed Bhaderwah as the unparalleled Lavender capital of India and a burgeoning Agri Startup hub.

 

The event, organized by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, as part of its One Week One Lab Campaign, showcased the exceptional potential of Bhaderwah, reported the Journo View.

With its optimal land and climate conditions, Bhaderwah has emerged as a shining testament to the progressive strides made under the present government.

Dr Jitendra Singh emphasized the significance of lavender cultivation in the region, highlighting its role as a catalyst for employment generation and fostering new avenues for research and development.

Lavender, known for its diverse applications and therapeutic properties, holds immense potential in driving economic prosperity and facilitating innovative advancements. Bhaderwah's dynamic convergence of lavender production and agrarian innovation has propelled it to the forefront of agricultural excellence.

Expressing regret that the remarkable development in Bhaderwah had not been celebrated earlier, the Minister underscored the immense growth opportunities the valley presents for both lavender cultivation and agri-startups. This strategic combination has positioned Bhaderwah as a beacon for entrepreneurial spirit within the agricultural sector.

The Lavender festival, a two-day event, showcased the extraordinary achievements of Bhaderwah, firmly establishing it as the birthplace of India's Purple Revolution. Dr Jitendra Singh's resounding proclamation adds further weight to the region's prominence in the realm of lavender cultivation.

As the Lavender capital of India, Bhaderwah's ascent has not only brought recognition to the region but also opened up new horizons for economic prosperity and innovative advancements.
