Coronavirus: Maharashtra reports 9,000 fresh cases, 180 deaths

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 9,000 fresh Covid-19 patients and 180 fatalities in a single day, taking the state's cumulative case tally to 62,14,190 and the toll to 1,27,031, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.

On the other hand, 5,756 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 59,80,350.

The state's recovery rate slipped to 96.27 per cent while the fatality rate was steady at 2.04 per cent.

There are now 1,03,486 active cases across the state, added the bulletin.
