COVID-19: Afghanistan reports fresh 22 cases
Kabul/UNI: Afghanistan reported 22 more cases of COVID-19 on Sunday taking the country's cumalative total of cases to 38,165 said the country's Ministry of Public Health.
Main reason for such low number of cases is believed to be the abysmally low number of tests that are being conducted in the country, health authorities of the country conducted merely 247 tests during the past 24 hours.
The new 22 positive cases were recorded from the capital Kabul and the districts of Takhar, Paktia, and Kunduz said the ministry in its statement.
Afghanistan has seen 1,402 COVID-19 related deaths since the start of the pandemic in February, thankfully no death was registered in the past 24 hours.
Tolonews reported that out of the total number infected people, 29,089 patients have recovered so far, including 26 who were discharged on Saturday.
