Covid-19: India reports 4,282 fresh cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 4,282 fresh cases of Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, as per the latest update by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday.

With the addition of these new cases the active caseload climbed to 47,246, which is 0.11 percent of the total cases, said the Health Ministry.

The death toll has risen to 53,15 47 with 8 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours in various parts of the country.

As many as 6,037 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease is 4.43 crore (4,43,64,841)

The Covid-19 recovery rate stood at 98.71 per cent whereas the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.

Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.92 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 4.00 per cent.

The Ministry said 172 vaccine doses of COVID have been administered during the last 24 hours under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Around 220.66 cr Total Vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, 92.67 cr Total Tests have been conducted so far; 87,038 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, the Ministry data.
