Himachal Pradesh: Earthquake of magnitude 3.4 hits Kinnaur district

Shimla: The villages of Kinnuar district of Himachal Pradesh along with India-Tibet International border jolted by a 3.40 magnitude earthquake last night, Indian Meteorological Department informed.

According to the Meteorological Center, Shimla, three to four tremors were felt around 10:02 pm.

The epicenter of the earthquake was Nako of Kinnaur at latitude of 31.93 North and Longitude of 78.63 East and 5 kilometers depth.

Apart from Nako, tremors were also felt in nearby Chango, Samdo, Pooh, Khab, Reckong Peo along the China border.

The tremors that lasted for fews seconds, forced people to come out of their homes. No loss of life or property has been reported.
