India records 18,132 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, the nation which witnessed a deadly COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year, recorded 18,132 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Monday.

It is the lowest daily count in the past 215 days.

In the past 24 hours, 193 people died due to the deadly virus that is believed to have originated from China.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths recorded by the country now stands at 450782.

21,563 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases at present.

It currently stands at 0.67 percent.

It is the lowest figure since March 2020.

India's Active caseload stands at 2,27,347.
