India registers 12,729 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 12,729 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

India recorded 221 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours.

The figures were reported a day after India celebrated the Diwali festival.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.23 percent.

It is the highest since March 2020.

12,165 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases, and currently stands at 0.43 percent.

India's Active caseload stands at 1,48,922.

107.70 cr vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
