India registers 2,483 new COVID-19 cases, 1399 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 2,483 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as the daily positivity rate touched  0.55 percent, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

During the same period, 1399 deaths due to the viral infection were also recorded.

India's active caseload currently stands at 15,636.

Active cases stand at 0.04 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.75 percent.

1,970 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
