India registers 38628 fresh COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered a slight dip in daily case count as 38,628 fresh COVID-19 cases were registered in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

40,017 patients recovered from the infectious disease during the last 24 hours.

India's active caseload currently stands at 4,12,153.

The recovery rate currently stands at 97.37 percent.

The number of recovered patients in a 4 hours period remained more than the daily infected patients after several days.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours,  617 people died due to COVID-19. The total death toll due to the disease now stands at 427371.

Active cases constitute 1.29 percent of total cases.
