India registers 43,393 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 43,393 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours taking the active caseload to  4,58,727, as per Ministry of Health released data on Friday.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 405939 with the addition of 911 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Active cases constitute 1.49 percent of total cases.

2,98,88,284 Total Recoveries from the highly infectious diseases across the country have been recorded so far.

44,459 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

Recovery Rate has now increased to 97.19%.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.36%.

Daily positivity rate at 2.42%, less than 3% for 18 consecutive days.

Testing capacity substantially ramped up – 42.70 cr tests total conducted.
