India registers 5,784 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, lowest in 571 days
New Delhi: India, which is slowly witnessing a rise in Omicron cases, registered 5,784 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
This is the lowest daily count registered by the country in the past 571 days.
Meanwhile, 252 people died due to the virus in the past 24 hours.
India's active caseload currently stands at 88,993.
Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.
It currently stands at 0.26 percent.
Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.37 percent.
7,995 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
