India registers 64,531 fresh COVID-19 cases, 1092 deaths reported

New Delhi: India registered  64,531 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health data released on Wednesday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 27,67,274.

During the last 24 hours, 1092 people died due to the highly infectious disease.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 52889.

At present, the country has 6,76,514 active cases while 2037870 people have been cured or discharged from medical facilities.
