India registers 7,447 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, a country which is slowly witnessing a rise in Omicron patient numbers, registered 7,447 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday.

Meanwhile, 391 people died due to the deadly virus during the same period.

India's active caseload currently stands at 86,415.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases which stands at 0.25 percent.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.38 percent.

7,886 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.
