India registers 9,283 fresh COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India witnessed slight marginal rise in the daily count as 9,283 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

During the same period, 437 lost their lives due to the virus.

The death toll due to the virus in the country now stands at 466584.

Meanwhile, India recorded 10,949 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

India's active caseload now stands at 1,11,48.

It is the lowest figure registered in past 537 days.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.

It currently stands at 0.32 percent.
