India reports 16,678 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 16,678 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said Monday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,36,39,329, while the death toll rose to 5,25,454 as 26 more succumbed to the disease.

On the other hand, 14,629 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,29,83,162. The recovery rate stands at 98.50 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 1,30,713, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 86.68 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 198.88 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
