India reports 42,982 new COVID-19 cases, 533 deaths in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India added 42,982 new COVID-19 cases Thursday while the deaths apparently due to the virus went up by 533 in the last 24 hours.

 

In the same period of time, 41,726 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the deadly disease.

The active cases now constitute 1.29% of the total tally.

The daily positivity rate in the country is now 2.58%, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 10 days.

Under the world’s largest vaccination drive conducted in India, 48.93 crore people have at least received a single dose of anti-COVID-19 vaccine.
