India reports 6,561 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India added 6,561 fresh COVID-19 cases while the toll went up by 142 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry stated on Thursday.

In the same span of time, 14,947 COVID-19 patients have recovered taking the recovering rate to 98.62%.

The active cases now stand at 0.18% of the total infections reported so far in the vast country of 1.3 billion people.

The active caseload in India now stands at 77,152.

Under the national vaccination drive, 178.02 crore anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country.
