New Delhi/IBNS: India, the worst Covid-19-affected Asian country, on Monday reported 92,071 Covid-19 cases taking the overall tally of infections to cross 48-lakh mark.

With the fresh Novel Coronavirus cases, the total number of infections in the country of 1.3 billion people has now touched 48,46,428.

1,136 Covid-19 patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, pushing the toll to 79,722.

As the hunt for the remedy of the deadly virus is still underway across the world, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Sunday said the Covid-19 vaccine may not be available in the market before early 2021.

Dr. Vardhan also said he would be happy to take the first dosage of vaccine if people have a trust deficit in the remedy.

After a brief halt due to the illness of a UK volunteer, pharmacist giant AstraZeneca on Saturday resumed trials for the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University.
