India witnesses decline in daily count, 8,488 new COVID-19 cases registered in past 24 hours
New Delhi: India witnessed a major decline in daily count as 8,488 new COVID-19 cases were registered in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday.
It is the lowest figure recorded in 538 days.
12,510 recoveries were recorded from the disease in the 24 hours.
India's recovery rate stands at 98.31 percent.
It is the highest figure since March 2020.
India's Active caseload stands at 1,18,443.
Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.
It currently stands at 0.34 percent.
