Indian Army's Moutaineering Expedition Team sights 'Yeti' footprints, shares online

New Delhi, Apr 30 (IBNS): The Indian Army on Monday said its Moutaineering Expedition Team has discovered the footprints of the mythical beast 'Yeti' close to Makalu Base Camp.

From the picture posted on the official Twitter handle of the Army, image of only one foot of the mythical beast has been captured on the camera.

The footprint measured "32X15 inches", said the Army.

"For the first time, an #IndianArmy Moutaineering Expedition Team has sited Mysterious Footprints of mythical beast 'Yeti' measuring 32x15 inches close to Makalu Base Camp on 09 April 2019. This elusive snowman has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park in the past," the Army tweeted.

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like creature taller than an average human, that is said to inhabit  the Himalayas, Siberia, Central and East Asia.

There are many tales related to Yeti in traditional Nepali folk culture.
