India's cumulative Covid-19 vaccine coverage touches 18.70 cr: Health Ministry

New Delhi/UNI: The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has reached 18.70 crore under the Phase-3 of the nationwide vaccination drive, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Thursday.

As per the provisional report this morning, a total of 18,70,09,792 vaccine doses have been administered through 27,31,435 sessions.

These include 96,85,934 Healthcare Workers (HCWs) who have taken the first dose and 66,67,394 received their second.

A total of 1,46,36,501 Frontline Workers (FLWs) received their first dose while 82,56,381 their second.

In the 18-44 age group, as many as 70,17,189 beneficiaries got their first dose, while in the age group of 45-60 years a total of 5,83,47,950 received their first dose and 94,36,168 their second.

As many as 5,49,36,096 beneficiaries over 60 years old got their first dose and 1,80,26,179 received their second dose.

The country's daily recoveries outnumbered daily new cases for the sixth consecutive day as 3,89,851 recoveries were registered in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry.
