Jammu and Kashmir: MVD organises Health check-up cum awareness programme at Shopian

  Srinagar: As a part of ongoing National Road Safety Month 2021, a Medical check-up cum awareness program was held today for learner licence seekers at Mini Secretariat, Shopian in collaboration with Health Department Shopian.

The main purpose of organising such camps is to ensure physical and medical fitness of drivers for ensuring safe driving on roads.

The resource persons impressed on respecting road safety norms to avoid road accidents and precious human lives are saved.

They also cautioned them to desist from over speeding, avoid mobile phones and promote usage of seat belts while driving and wearing helmet while riding.

Besides Officers/ officials of MVD who delivered speech on inculcating traffic rules while using the road either as driver or pedestrian, doctors briefed participants about use of first aid, post accident rescue, basic life support etc.

Later, pamphlets carrying message of different road safety norms were distributed among participants and people visiting for different services.
