Karnataka: COVID-19 cases soars to 503

Bengaluru/UNI: Two more cases of COVID-19 were reported from Kalaburagi, taking the number of contracted persons to 503, besides a 45-year-old woman, with medical underlying condition, succumbed to the virus on Sunday.

The sources said that two more persons, from Kalaburagi were detected for COVID-19 disease, including a 7-year-old boy, whose contact was traced to another person, in their house, who was contracted for the disease earlier.

With the death of a 45-year-old woman, the number of persons, who had lost their lives due to the contracting of the covonavirus was rose to 19 in the state.

The deceased was suffering from pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital with respiratory problem on Friday last, the sources said.

Meanwhile the number of cured patients from the COVID-19 were rose to 182 and among the 302 active patients for the disease, six others had been admitted into the ICU's in the designated hospitals, the sources added.
