Magnitude 4 earthquake hits Haryana, tremors felt in New Delhi

New Delhi, July 1 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter Scale hit Haryana's Sonipat area on Sunday as tremors also rocked New Delhi and adjoining areas, officials said.

As per India Meteorological Department website, the epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 28.9 degrees north and longitude 77.0 degrees east.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 5 kms.

It hit Sonipat at 15:37 hrs.

Tremors were also felt in New Delhi.

No casualty has been reported so far.
