New Delhi: Two suspected militants held

New Delhi/UNI: With the arrest of two suspected militants from the national capital, Delhi Police Special Cell has foiled a likely terror strike.

According to police, the two Jammu and Kashmir based suspected militants were apprehended form near the Millenium Park Sarai Kale Khan on Monday night at around 2215 hours, as a trap was laid based on intelligence inputs regarding their movement.

Two semi-automatic pistols along with 10 rounds of live ammunition were seized from their possession at the time they were intercepted and apprehended.

The duo have been identified as Abdul Latif (22), a resident of Sopore, district Baramulla Jammu and Kashmir, and the other one as Mohammad Ashraf Khatana who belongs to Kupwara district J&K.

They two are being suspected to have links with Jaish-E-Mohammed, which are being probed.

A case has been registered under appropriate sections of law and further investigation is underway and their linkages are being further probed upon, the police added.
