New Delhi/UNI: Cyclonic circulation over north interior Odisha and neighbouhood is likely to bring rains in the west coast and northeast India during next five days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

“A east-west shear zone lies between 3.1 and 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height and now runs roughly along Lat.19°N across Peninsular and Central India and a trough at mean sea level runs from northwest Rajasthan to north Interior Odisha across north Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh”, it said.

Under its influence, widespread rains with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely along the west coast and northeast India during next five days.

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over central and adjoining east India during next three- four days.

The national weather bureau also said that scattered rainfall activity also very likely to take place over south peninsular India during next four-five days and isolated to scattered rainfall with isolated thunderstorm and lightning very likely over plains of northwest India during next three days.
