Sikkim witnesses surge in Coronavirus cases

Gangtok/UNI: Sikkim is facing surge in Coronavirus cases all of a sudden as many people attended the funeral of a popular figure at Rangpo, East District.

This has said to have affected those too who were in contact with the attendees.

It brings the present active Coronavirus cases to 340, So far State has recorded 477 and Discharged 137.

While 9 days back, on July 17, State recorded 166 active cases ,having cured 88, out of
254 since last week of May.

Presently whole State is under lockdown, Government offices are also under lockdown till Monday, it started on July 22 .Betterment is anticipated.
