Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival: 10th anniversary edition to start from January 18

Kolkata, Jan 14 (IBNS): The Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival’s 10th anniversary is from Jan 18 – 20 and Oxford Bookstore is bringing the celebration to Park Street, the birthplace of the bookstore nearly a century ago.

The three-day literary extravaganza will be hosted in various heritage sites on Park Street like the majestic Park Mansions and its Grounds, Allen Park, Celica House 1st floor, Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, Alliance française du Bengale  and the iconic Oxford Bookstore.

Writers, poets and dignitaries from China, Italy, France, Australia, Singapore, USA, UK and Pakistan will be in attendance along with Indian award-winning authors, eminent filmmakers, politicians and poets.

Some of the eminent speakers who will be part of the AKLF 10th anniversary edition include Andrew Sean Greer, Pulitzer winner for Fiction 2018, Ira Mukhoty, known for her feminist writing; Devdutt Pattanaik, mythology expert and author; Ramchandra Guha, historian; Rujuta Diwekar, nutrition and exercise science expert and author; Ravinder Singh, Young Adult author; Upamanyu Chatterjee, celebrated writer; Ravish Kumar, journalist, Poet and author; Naseeruddin Shah, actor and director; Anuradha Roy, novelist, journalist and editor; Rajmohan Gandhi, historian and biographer; Shashi Tharoor, writer and parliamentarian; Shobhaa De, columnist and novelist; Anuja Chauhan, author and screenwriter; Ratna Pathak Shah, actress and director.
