Patna, Jun 5 (UNI) The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with full enthusiasm across Bihar today.

Namaz prayers were offered at various mosques, Idgahs and other places. A large number of people offered Namaz at the historic Gandhi Maidan in the state capital and greeted each other.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also reached Gandhi Maidan at the time of offering of Namaz and congratulated Muslim brethren on the occasion.

He also ate ‘Sewaia’ with children on the occasion.

Kumar said, India was a great country as mutual love, harmony and tolerance for each other among disciples of various religions and faiths were unique. People exchanged pleasantries by participating in celebrations of each other`s festivals, he said adding state and country derived strength from such mutual love and respect for each other. The country`s unity and integrity remained unscathed even during adverse circumstances due to these strengths, he added.
