British Council offers English learning programme for kids in collaboration with Kolkata-based school

Kolkata/IBNS: British Council has entered into a strategic partnership with Kolkata-based Sri Sri Academy, to expand its partner English Language Centre model.

Through this connection, Sri Sri Academy becomes the second partner English Lanugage Centre in India.

This collaboration will offer the British Council's popular Early Years Learning Programme designed for young learners aged 5 to 6 years.

Through interactive courses like Learning with Timmy, the modules are aimed at nurturing a child's creative and social skills through the learning of English.

The launch was announced in the presence of Allan Taggart, Regional Director English, South Asia and Sub- Saharan Africa, British Council and Antonious Raghubansie, Head India teaching and Cultural Centres, British Council along with Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director East and Northeast India, British Council and Suvina Shunglu, Principal, Sri Sri Academy.

Prior to this, the British Coucil opened its partnership English Language Centre at South City International School in Kolkata where professionals, students and kids got opportunties to hone their language skills.
