Cycle Heritage Quiz enthralls audience in Kolkata
Promising actor Riddhi Sen of Open Tee Bioscope fame and his on screen mother Sudipta Chakraborty, a national award winning actress graced the event as the Guests of Honour.
Students of class VIII to class X forming over 352 teams from around 75 schools in the city participated in the preliminary round of the competition. Amongst them, only 6 teams made it to the final.
The Guest of Honour, Sudipta Chakraborty, commented on the occasion, "The Cycle Heritage Quiz is a commendable initiative undertaken by Cycle Pure Agarbathies. I am happy to be a part of this unique initiative. I would like to wish the students and the team of Cycle Pure Agarbathies the very best of luck so that they can carry forward this novel endeavour."
The Quizzing contest was initiated in 2011 with an objective to encourage young minds to battle their brains and at the same time learn more about our country's rich art forms, culture, tradition and history.
In Addition to Trophies and Certificates 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize winners were rewarded with iPad Mini, HCL Me Tab, Fast Track Wrist Watch respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Arjun Ranga, Managing Partner, Cycle Pure Agarbathies, said "In this era of globalization, where our young generation is moving faster in a forward direction and are adapting to other cultures, the Cycle Heritage Quiz is an initiative to bring them face to face with India’s rich tradition and heritage. We started this journey in Kolkata in 2011 and are overwhelmed with the response from the students over the last four years. We wish to carry this initiative further on and make it bigger and a grander success”.
