Mountain View, Apr 22 (IBNS) Google on Friday celebrated Earth Day by posting a series of doodles on its home page.

Earth Day is a global event, first initiated in 1970 and celebrated annually on Apr 22.

Showing his support to the cause, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier tweeted a picture which says, "We bow in reverence to Mother Earth. Let's work together to ensure sustainable development and a pollution free planet. Trees help mitigate climate change and purify the air. Let us pledge to plant more trees and crate a greener earth."
