Ireland keen to increase its intake of Indian students aspiring to pursue higher studies

Kolkata, Oct 12 (IBNS): Ireland is poised to welcome Indian students keen to pursue higher studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is offering over 200 scholarships for the same.

Aspiring students can seek more details at the educational fairs being organised across India this month where Irish Institutes will be present to address, discuss, respond to queries, speak about programmes available, intakes, offer acceptance, campus life, accommodation, international student support, culture and more.

Barry O'Driscoll, Senior Education Adviser, India - Education in Ireland  said, "India has been an influential market in terms of both trade and international students export for Ireland. Many students who aspire for receiving higher-education in foreign countries are now being aware of Ireland providing globally recognized degrees & courses, benefits of working part-time and a 24 month stay back option has contributed to the rising the education exports."

In recent years, the most popular courses in Ireland have included mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, biotechnology, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cyber security, accounting / finance and MBA.

Also there is a notable increased level of interest in courses such as media, design, arts, social sciences, hospitality and hotel management.

The Education in Ireland fairs are being held in Pune, Bangalore, Coimbatore Chennai and Mumbai through October.

In Mumbai, the fair will be held at The St. Regis Hotel on October 20, 2019, from 12 pm to 5 pm.

"The annual fairs are designed for the benefit of the student to access end-to-end education market in Ireland without bearing any financial risk or investment of time. In addition to meeting the institutions, the qualified students can also get a broader percept on how education in Ireland takes place with its kind of courses, the job opportunities given post studies and various scholarship opportunities. said Barry O'Driscoll who will be present at the fairs to have face-to-face interaction with the students.

Students studying Ireland can avail of up to two years ‘stay-back’ option after completing their course, at postgraduate level.

With over 1,000 multinationals based in Ireland, the country offers significant career opportunities for talented graduates.
