‘Istaqbaal- e- Chilae Kalaan’: Festival of music and drama begins in Srinagar

Srinagar/IBNS: “Istaqbaal- e- Chilae Kalaan”, a three-day long winter festival celebrating music and drama, was organized to keep the spirit of performing arts alive in the Kashmir.

The newcomer artists from the field of music and drama have been given an opportunity to show their talent.

Students of colleges like, S. P. College, Women College (M A Road) and A S College are also part of this festival.

Farooq Anwar Mirza, incharge Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, was the chief guest.

In the end, Creative Director Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad reiterated his commitment to work with full dedication for the performing arts.

He also expressed his thanks to participating artists, the staff of Tagore Hall and to the team of Actors’ Creative Theatre (ACT).
