International singing star Bryan Adams took Kolkata down memory lane when he put up an electrifying performance and left the audience thrilled during his first performance in the East Indian city on Sunday.

Music enthusiasts joined in the chorus and waved their mobile phone flashlights and tried all possible ways to make their winter evening memorable with Adams singing some of the popular numbers which included Everything I Do (I Do It For You) and Please Forgive Me.

Nostalgia gripped the city when Adams sang his evergreen 'Summer of 69', leaving music lovers, many of whom belonged to the 80s and 90s era, feeling delighted when they joined the rockstar in singing together one of the most popular numbers of his music career.

Social media buzzed with fans expressing their excitement over being a part of the concert that was held in the Aquatica water park complex.

Journalist Moupia Nandy shared a glimpse of the concert on X and wrote: "#bryanadams #bryanadamslive."

Dr Aratrika Ganguly said: " Since allegedly 'nothing happens in Kolkata' according to learned folks, here is Bryan Adams, about whom one needs no introduction! At Kolkata today!"

An internet user Debotri Ghosh posted: "On a Nostalgia Trip!"

Kolkata was the first stop for the 65-year-old Canadian star's So Happy It Hurts India Tour 24.

He will next perform in Shillong, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
