Kolkata to host Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016

Kolkata, Aug 31 (IBNS): Kolkata is all set to host the first qualifying round of The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016, at Medical College, College Street on Sept 2 from 1pm onwards.

The 11-city Inter-Collegiate quiz competition is a part of the Sweden–India Nobel Memorial Week, which is celebrating its 10thEdition.

The week is organized by the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi along with leading Swedish companies in India.

It aims to promote bilateral relations especially in the industrial and economic field and showcases Swedish companies’ contributions, including knowledge and innovation.

The theme for the tenth edition of The Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Week is Swedish contributions “Sweden Makes in India” including sustainability and innovation.

The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz brings together quizzers from across reputed colleges and institutes of the city. Participation to this prestigious Quiz is open to all under-Graduate andpost-Graduate students in teams of three, representing a college.

Winners of the Kolkata round will represent the city at the National Finals to be held in New Delhi on Oct 7.

Qualifying rounds will also be held in Indore, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
