Howrah, Apr 16 (IBNS): A new addition was made to the food map of Howrah, the sister city of Kolkata with the opening of Lazeez, the popular Mughlai and Awadhi restaurant from the house of Shiraz Hotels recently.

Ishtiaque Ahmed, director Shiraz Hotels said, "There has been constant demand from our customers who travel to Kolkata to eat at various outlets of Lazeez to come up with a branch of Lazeez in Howrah. That is why we decided not just to do an outlet here, but ensure that the place can also be a convenient dine-in option for people within the radius of 8-9 kilometers."

Ahmed informed his management might consider opening more outlets in the city if they receive good response from the residents.

The two storied new outlet of Lazeez spreads over an area of 2,000 square feet and offers Mughlai and Awadhi specialties  like Panner Sheshlik Kebab, Paneer Tikka Kebab, Fish Tandoori, Murgh Tengri Kebab, Murgh Musallam, Biriyanis, Kulchas,Passindas, Qalia, Qorma, Keema, Kulchas, various types of rotis, naans and Pulaw.

While the ground floor will have a take-away corner, visitors will have the option to sit-and-dine at the cozy sitting area of ground and top floors of the restaurant.

Lazeez will be opening in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and already has nine outlets in Kolkata, and is on the look for investors for their future projects.

Each city will have one or two flagship Lazeez restaurants which will be opened and operated in-house and include a centralised kitchen. These will be 80-100 seat restaurants with sit-in facilities, staff and facilities for management of local in-bound and out-bound logistics and  a take-away counter.

A meal for two will cost Rs 600 plus taxes at Lazeez located at 50/3 Andul Road, Dhanesh Sheikh Lane, Howrah.
