MAKAUT announces its first chair in name of Sardar Jodh Singh at 7th Annual Convocation

Kolkata, Nov 2 (IBNS):  MAKAUT on Friday announced the Sardar Jodh Singh chair in its 7th annual convocation.

This is the first chair declared by MAKAUT for the Environmental and Applied Science in the name of Sardar Jodh Singh, Founder Chairman of the JIS Group . 

A cheque which amounted  to  Rupees Ten lakh was handed over to the Vice Chancellor , MAKAUT, Saikat Mitra by Sardar Taranjit Singh, the son of Sardar Jodh Singh and Managing Director of the JIS Group.

The designated professor will receive a sum of Rupees 1 lakh per month as remuneration and other operational costs.

The cheque was handed over in the presence of West Bengal Governor Keshri Nath Tripathi who is also the Chancellor of the University.

The University Vice Chancellor greeted Singh with a thundering applause in the presence of dignitaries and eminent people and academicians at MAKAUT convocation.
