Facebook, perhaps one of the most powerful social media platforms connecting people and organizations across the globe, turned 20 on Sunday with its founder Mark Zuckerberg celebrating the moment by sharing a collage video showcasing the path he walked in developing it over the years.

In 2004, Zuckerberg presented to the world a new social media platform to express their thoughts named  'thefacebook.com' from his Harvard dormitory.

Sharing his journey, the 39-year-old tech mogul wrote on Instagram, which is also owned by his company Meta, "20 years ago I launched a thing. Along the way, lots of amazing people joined and we built some more awesome things. We're still at it and the best is yet to come."
