Nursery or luxury? Viral fee slip of Rs. 2.72 lakh leaves internet stunned

 A user on X, identified as Sakshi, shared a screenshot of a kindergarten school’s annual fee structure—revealing a staggering total of ₹2.72 lakh per year.

According to the details, parents enrolling their child in kindergarten must also pay a one-time admission charge of ₹48,000. This includes a non-refundable admission fee of ₹15,000 and a refundable caution deposit of ₹33,000.

Notably, the quoted fees exclude additional expenses such as transport, uniforms (including shoes and socks), cafeteria charges, and other miscellaneous costs—pushing the overall financial burden even higher.

The post quickly went viral, prompting a wave of reactions online. While many users criticised the steep fees and called for stricter regulation, others argued that quality education comes at a price.

“This is clearly getting out of control. What is the government doing? Why are there no regulations to curb such hikes?” one user wrote.
