Parag Shah pens down for future entrepreneurs

New Delhi, May 4 (IBNS) Parag Shah, the chairman and founder of FLAME, has written a book for the upcoming generation of entrepreneurs in India.

From his humble beginnings in a small town in Maharashtra, to becoming the Chairman and the Founder Director of Foundation for Liberal And Management Education (FLAME), and finally starting MIDAS, an institute that grooms and nurtures entrepreneurs in India complete with a product development and incubation center, dedicated to Management, Innovation, Design, Arts and Social Sciences, Parag Shah uses examples from his own decades-long entrepreneurship journey to lay out the key messages that every business person should keep in mind.

Antar Prerna: An Entrepreneur's Journey is a book that goes beyond trends and shortens your learning cycle, so you don’t make the common mistakes most start-ups commit.

Parag Shah is the Chief Mentor of MIDAS (Management, Innovation, Design, Arts and Social Sciences), Former Chairman and Founder for Liberal and Management Education (FLAME) and Managing director of Oxford Golf and Country Club – ranked the best Golf Course in Asia-Pacific.

Shah also owns a chain of Photofinishing Labs and became India’s biggest distributor for Nestle - Vending machine operations, and launched several Real Estate projects and building and developing over 30 million sq.ft. of space before venturing into education by starting FLAME

He has changed changed the way entrepreneurship education is done by combining Effectuation with Critical Thought and Innovation in MIDAS' entrepreneurship program. He is on the jury of International Innovation Centers and started the Product Development and Incubation Centre at MIDAS, which is necessary for entrepreneurs.

As an entrepreneur and a passionate educationist, till date, he has mentored over 200 students to become entrepreneurs.

He has also given a series of lectures in several universities in India, UK and USA.

Hi forte is to teach “Product Development and Innovation”, “Entrepreneurial Strategy and Effectuation”, “Critical Thinking” and “Sales Strategies for Entrepreneurs”.

Shah's work has been published in several magazines and books. Two of his short stories are being published in the book “Chicken Soup and the Entrepreneurs Soul”. Recently - on 18th October, 2014- he gave a talk on “Dreaming Big” at a TEDx event in Pune.
