Kolkata, Feb 22 (IBNS) Parampara of Kolkata recently organised the SWAR Festival, an evening of Indian classical music and dance, at the lawns of the Gurusaday Museum located in Behala, on the southern fringe of the city.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Trinity, a musical fusion, conceptualised and led by tabla maestro Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee; accompanying him were popular playback singer Biplab Mukherjee in vocals, Shouvik Mukherjee on sitar and Shruti Adhikari from Bhopal on santoor.

Pt Shivshankar Ray, a disciple of Pandit Gnan Prakash Ghosh, gave a solo tabla recital while eminent artists, Pt Debojyoti Bose and Pt Abhijit Banerjee, performed a sarod and tabla 'jugalbandi'.

Haimanti Basu, through her dance recital, brought forth the grace and spirituality of Odissi.

The musical evening was not only well attended but widely appreciated too.
