Pooja Shroff's Spring Summer Collection 2018 ready for its Kolkata date

Kolkata, Nov 14 (IBNS): A popular name in contemporary fashion, Pooja Shroff is all set to unveil her Spring Summer Collection, 2018, in Kolkata very soon.

Fashion lovers of Kolkata can have a quick look at The Spring Summer Collection, 2018, aptly titled, Floral Rhapsody, at a pop-up show to be held on Nov 16 and 17 at the Bombaim, located in south Kolkata.

Pooja Shroff is known for infusing progressive contemporary silhouettes with traditional embroideries and showcases an array of garments varying from couture to luxury prêt.

While the brand’s Pret line is known for its bold use of solid colours with exciting prints in smart cuts and styles, the couture line presents an exquisite range of Indian contemporary silhouettes infused with traditional hand done embroideries.

The designer, for her Spring Summer Collection 2018 drew inspiration from the vibrant hues and floral motifs for the upcoming season.

The collection incorporates draped and asymmetrical cuts to give a twist to Indian garments. Expect to see brilliant use of bright and pastel shades used in monochromes and contrasts this season.

The garments, shape with fine and intricate details have exquisite hand embroidered laces, thread work, aari and zardozi embroideries along with appliqués.

This collection has a lot of prints and solid colours on muslin, voile, silk chiffon, silk georgette, mal mals and silks which are used to create jumpsuits, capes, sumo pants, antifits, maxis and anarkalis.

Design details include pleating, sequin texturing, hand embroidered tassels, beautiful prints specially created for this line.

Over the past few years, Pooja Shroff’s designs have graced various red carpet events worn by celebrities such as Jacqueline Fernandes, Bipasha Basu, Helly Shah, Sana Makbul, Parno Mitra, Karishma Tanna, Amy Jackson, Akansha Puri, Mehek Chahal, Krystal Desouza, Urvashi Rautella, Sauraseni Maitra, Kaushani Mukherjee among many others.

The brand currently retails from Aza, Ogaan, Carma, Jhelum, Fuel, Collage, Ole, Kayra, Pitaarah, Angasutra, Manomay, Deval, Azraa, Vachi, Agashe in India, and Vesimi Dubai. It has also been a part of exhibitions in Singapore and Jakarta.
