Street food festival Chatpata at Acropolis Mall in Kolkata attracts a large weekend crowd

Kolkata/IBNS:  The weekend found a large Kolkata crowd enjoying the nip in the air with an outing to the food festival organised at the popular shopping zone, the Acropolis Mall, in the southern part of the city. 

The annual three-day (November 11 to 13, 2022) street food festival, Chatpata, now in its fourth year, offered a variety of dishes, ranging from Indian to Lebanese.

Some of the popular brands who participated included Calcutta Delicacies, Hot Lebanese, Buddy Bites, Eagle Bites, Nalin Chandra Das, Poush Parbon , Roy Pan Stall, R.K. Chaat Center and Turkisyano.

Some of the fast moving dishes included Gondhoraj Fish Kobiraji, Honey Chicken wings, Chicken Feast Pizza, Chicken Tandoori Fry, etc.

The various kinds of chaat, desserts and the inventive range of 'paan' too had their own loyal clientele.

K Vijayan, General Manager, Acropolis  said, “Acropolis Mall is popular with gourmands for its wide array of food festivals being organized every year.”

Apart from food festivals and other programmes geared to serve their patrons, the shopping mall also undertakes various social welfare programmes, such as collecting clothes for underprivileged children, providing space to self-help women's groups from economically backward section to display and sell handmade rakhis, etc.
