13 workers injured in accident at power project in UP's Sonbhadra

Sonebhadra/UNI: As many as 13 labourers were injured when a tin boiler shed collapsed in a private power project under Anpara police station area here on Sunday early morning.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Amendra Prasad Singh said the incident occurred at around 0245 hrs on Sunday in the unit number-2 of the privately owned Lanco Thermal power project during an annual inspection.

The plant was closed for the inspection from March 22.

  Among the 13 people, five labourers--Dharamjeet(25), Shivam(20), Vivek(34), Sandeep Kunar (25) and Shiv Kumar(27)--are in critical condition.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered Additional Chief Secretary, Power, to conduct a probe into the incident.

The CM has also asked the  district authorities to provide all health facilities to the injured.
