17-year-old girl allegedly shot dead by friend, flees scene

New Delhi, Dec 21 (IBNS): A 17-year-old girl was allegedly shot dead by her friend, who fled the scene, reports said.

The alleged incident took place on Tuesday night in Najafgarh.

A case has been registered and operation has been initiated to nab the absconding suspect.

The teenager had gone out to have lunch with her friend Subham and his friend Yogesh in the latter's car, Hindustan Times reported.

While on their way back, Yogesh stopped to relieve himself and while talking to a friend he had met there, he heard a gunshot.

Returning back to the vehicle, he found Subham missing and the girl lying there, shot using Yogesh's licensed pistol.

The girl was declared brought dead upon rushing her to a nearby hospital.
