AAP minister's daughter resigns from adviser role after controversy
New Delhi, Jul 13 (IBNS): Saumya Jain, daughter of Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain, resigned from her post as an adviser in the mohalla clinic project of the Delhi government, following a controversy, the media reported on Thursday.
Jain resigned after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) objected to her appointment and blamed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of nepotism.
Saumya Jain, an architect, was appointed as an adviser to the Delhi Health Secretary (also a director of the National Health Mission) and was not being paid any remuneration, the media reported quoting an AAP spokesperson.
Satyendar Jain said his daughter's role was non-executive in nature and demanded that BJP now must ensure that all those related to their ministers resign from their posts too, the media reported.
