After Hooda, J'khand CM now booed in Modi's presence
Soren too had to face an embarrassing situation as he started to address the rally in Modi's presence.
Soren completed his speech amid chants of "Modi, Modi".
Modi is in Jharakhand to inaugurate a project of Power Grid Corporation of India and announce the commencement of work of NTPC's North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (3X660 MW).
Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was booed by a crowd at a public event in Kaithal where he shared the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister was present in Kaithal in Haryana on Tuesday to launch four laning of over 160 Kms National Highway from Kaithal to the border of Haryana-Rajasthan border at a function.
In an embarrassing moment, as soon the Haryana Chief Minister started to address the event, he was shut down by people chanting 'Modi, Modi'.
The upset CM has now vowed to boycott sharing of stage with Modi.
"It was meant to be an official function but turned into a political rally. The BJP has violated the pride of the institution of PM. I went to keep the pride of the chair. In future, I will never attend a function with the PM," Hooda told reporters.
It was even more embarrassing for the CM as the crowd roared in approval as Modi began to deliver his address.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said he will not share the dais with Modi during the launch of Nagpur Metro in Maharashtra on Thursday.
"I will not be sharing the dais with the Hon'ble PM at today's Metro Rail bhoomipujan," the CM tweeted.
The Congress said that “no self-respecting CM will attend functions if BJP supporters boo him in the presence of Modi.”
Earlier, Chavan had been heckled by crowds at events he attended with the PM at Raigad and Solapur last week. After the experience in the events, he had said: “What happened was politically motivated.”
